New Makeup May/June
May and June have been pretty big makeup purchasing months for me. I started a makeup course on the 5th June so I've had a bunch of things I wanted/needed for class, as well as a few things I just wanted for myself.
I finally got the Smashbox Contour Stick Trio, which I absolutely love! I find the sticks so easy and quick to use, and the cream formula looks so much more natural than when I contour with powder.
I also finally got the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer, in Light Neutral, and I really love that too. The consistency is so beautiful, and the applicator is lovely and soft. A little bit of product goes a long way which is great too. This will definitely be my new concealer of choice. Goodbye Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, you have been replaced!
I then made an order from Luxola, where I got a Sigma F84 Angled Kabuki Brush and theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer Highlighting powder. I had a fake of the brush that my parents got me in Thailand that I loved so much and used for my foundation every day, but then it broke, so I decided I'd replace it straight away with the real deal. Then, to get free shipping I had to spend a bit more, so I decided to get the Mary-Lou Manizer too, which I had heard such great things about and had been on my wish list for a very long time. The brush is great, as I knew it would be, and the highlighter is amazing!! It gives the most perfect natural glowy look that makes me feel great! I've been wearing it every day since I got it.
I also got the Chill Makeup Setting Spray from Urban Decay, which I've only used a few times, so I can't really comment on how well it works.
Then I got the Korres Fig Shower Gel, which I originally got as a sample from Mecca and fell in love with its scent and consistency, so I got it in my next Mecca order.
I got the Kiehl's Cucumber Herbal Alcohol-Free Toner, which I've been using on and off since I got it. My skin has been the worst I think it's ever been in my life lately. I've never had bad skin, and even now it's not that noticeably bad to anyone other than me, but it's definitely my skin's version of breaking out. I know my skin hates products, and the less I use the smoother and happier it is, but I also know I need to have a skin care routine so it's hard to find a happy medium. I think it's also been bad because in class for my makeup course we have to do each other's makeup, so every Friday my skin gets a bunch of different products put on it that it's not used to, and as I said it hates products, so it's really not enjoying that haha. If anyone has a similar problem with their skin and has found a solution please let me know!
Lastly I got two Morphe palettes, and a Morphe brush (not in the image). The brush I got is the M439 Deluxe Buffer, which I immediately fell in love with the first time I used it to apply my foundation. It blends everything out seamlessly and so so easily! The two eyeshadow palettes I got are the 35U Multi-Colour Shimmer Palette and the 35C Multi-Colour Matte Palette. I'm so excited to try these out to create some really fun makeup looks!
I still have a few things on their way that I cannot wait for! I'll be sure to post about them when they arrive :) I hope you found something helpful in this post, or just found a new product to lust after.
xx Bec
